These anthropomorphic creatures are an expression of the conflicts caused by ethnic tensions and religious fundamentalism, anti-immigration sentiments as well as the damage our society does to our environment.  This project was prompted by a lecture by Professor Guy S.Goodwin-Gill where he suggested that the one thing missing from international law is compassion.
